Why we started

PM Surya Ghar is one of the best government schemes in recent memory — up to ₹78,000 in direct subsidy for rooftop solar. But the process is confusing. The national portal is in English. BESCOM has its own procedures. And most solar companies treat the paperwork as "your problem."

We started Bengaluru Solar because we believe every Bengaluru homeowner — whether in Jayanagar or Yelahanka, whether they speak English or Kannada — deserves a single point of contact who handles everything. No middlemen, no confusion, no runaround.

What we believe

• One owner, one process. From your first call to the subsidy in your bank, one person is responsible. Not a call centre. Not a rotating team. One person who knows your name and your roof.
• Kannada is not a secondary language. Every document, every explanation, every WhatsApp update — available in Kannada. Because understanding what's happening with your home should never require a translator.
• Maintenance is not optional. A solar system without maintenance is a depreciating asset. That's why AMC is included in every installation — not sold as an afterthought.
• Transparency over sales. If your roof isn't suitable, we'll tell you. If 2 kW is enough and 3 kW is oversized, we'll recommend 2 kW. Our reputation depends on honest advice, not upselling.

The team

We're a small team of Bengaluru locals — solar engineers, BESCOM process specialists, and installation coordinators. Every member of the team has installed or managed solar on their own home. We know the process because we've lived it.

Our installation partners are BESCOM-empanelled and MNRE-certified. We work with the same 3–4 installation crews consistently, which means quality stays high and communication stays tight.
